The soundscape of Melkhal, a left-over architecture from the industrial era, is constantly evolving in a succession of historical changes, full of fluctuations: the echoes of the building, the churning of machines and human activity New and old adrenaline pumps throughout its space in a series of sonic waves.

A spatial and temporal sound dialogue was created with an intriguing and immersive auditory experience. Various sound objects appear in the tunnel of time, including the the wet floor, dripping sounds,  the low hum of machinery, a manipulated collection of pre-recorded sound from the past Melkhal visits, they were colliding with each other, reacting and recombining into new soundscapes.

We are interested in the linear quality of time, and try to present those past sounds while creating something new in the present, where both worlds could coexist.  The beauty of the project is that art usually belongs with time, and we transformed it into something that also belongs in space. You can walk through the space and explore it in relation to the sounds, a sort of 'sound architecture'.
