Hang Chen
A sound art practitioner, sound designer currently based in Rotterdam. Graduated with a master degree in music from ArtEZ University of the Arts. Previously worked as the director and curator of the public education department in an art institution.Working predominantly in sound art and computer music. Her practice and artistic research focus on how sound or sound event as a “flux”, a social force can be involved in public space and social reality. Employing the visual programming language Max/MSP for the creation of her computer music and sound installation, attempting to connect sonic thoughts with poetry text, animal, and other sound encounters.
